Default Seeking Custody of Obese Child Due to Primary Parents Neglect

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Michigan
I have shared custody with my ex wife( I have my daughter every other weekend ). I am concerned about my child's health and need to know if the following concern is enough for me to pursue change of custody ( file Pro Per Custody Motion ? ) My child has gained several pounds over the past year. She recently saw her doctor who informed my ex that the child needed to lose 10 pds to prevent diabetes. Since this instruction from the doctor the child has already gained 17 pounds to date( less then a year ). My ex has been seen regularly feeding her fast food and has done nothing to insure her good health or lose of weight that was instructed from the child's doctor, as a result she is severely over weight for her age and height. I am concerned if I don't step in this will continue to escalate. I consider this to be a form of neglect on my ex wife's part.

Have you talked to the child's pediatrician? What did the pediatrician say?

When you've discussed the growing problem with your ex-spouse, how did she respond?

    You're correct to be concerned.
