Falsely Accused by Co Worker of Theft

My question involves defamation in the state of: OHIO

The other day at work my bay manager started accusing me of stealing at work. I think he may have been joking but I didn't like it. I told him I was going to go to a higher up. I did. I made a complaint. A few hours later the manager called one the employee to the side and said come with me. They disappeared and after lunch a higher up called in to the office and told me to tell the story i told him to the Big Manager. (this is a certain retail store with 50 managers per area) I repeated the story of accusation of theft. The Big Manager said he had two complaints of me stealing. I told him I did not do it and he could get the security tapes for as far back as he had them and he would see that I stoled nothing. Now the story is being told all over the story and people think I steal. This Bay manager and I had a few words over the year..and he told me at one time he would get me fired watch and see.

Is there anything that can be done about this type of harassment at work?
