Default Pursuing Realtor's License with Checkered Past

My question involves real estate located in the State of: Texas

Basically it's this: I'm in my early 30s and have a past misdemeanor for theft that's over 10 years old and a deferred adjudication that was more recent. Is it possible to obtain a license to sell real estate in TX or any other state for that matter?

Regulations vary from state to state.

To determine if you meet the moral character guidelines in Texas, scroll down to Appendix E of this document. Print it out, fill it out, and submit it and $25 to the address at the top of the page.
