Aggravated Domestic Assault

My question involves criminal law for the state of: illinois
my husband was aressted for arrgravated domestic. he has never hit me before we have been together for 27 yrs this is his first offence but he does have a very long record. he is attending anger managment classes in jail. i havent been suponaed, the courts think i have left the state. i will not tesifi againest him because he needs help with a drug problem that he has and he does want help. he has never been violent with me before. will this be droped if i dont testifi or will he get probation? he has no other violent charges on his record.
