Default Psychiatric Evaluation for 17 yr Old Son in Texas
Can I legally commit my 17 yr old son to a psychiatric care facility, as a short term resident, for an extenive evaluation? We have already tried to get him to see a psychiatrist at the urging of his counselor and medical doctor, but he refuses to get in the car and let me take him to the appointment. If the answer is yes, can we as the local police to escort him there? What about when he turns 18? Thanks in advance for any help.
