Default SSDI to Be Cut Off

This is my own fault for not keeping better track of my part-time income, but I was wondering if anyone had any helpful advice.

I have been on disability since 1996. During that time, I have been able to work part-time, and for short periods of time, attempted to go back to work by trying full-time employment. I would say that 90% of the time, I earned what is allowable under SSDI rules. However, I was just informed that my benefits are going to be cut off, and I'm in shock. I understand why SS came to this conclusion, and of course I want to pay the money back (a little at a time, as that is all I can afford). But I can't physically work full-time and I am living as simply and cheaply as possible, and there is no way I can go with no income at all.

I left a message with a local attorney who deals with SS issues.

Is there anything I can do about this situation? I feel really overwhelmed and don't know what to do.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

    Default Returning to Work

If you returned to work full-time, it is awfully hard to contend that you are disabled from working full-time. That happened throughout your period of disability - you periodically returned to full-time work, without telling the Social Security Administration?

Default ssd to be cut off

I didn't realize that you were allowed to work at all if you were on disability! In my current condition, I could probably work a couple of hours in the morning somewhere as long as I had the ability to get up, sit, stand and walk, meaning change my body position as I needed to, I would even need to be able to lay down for 20 minutes once in a while! What is the max amount that you can earn while on disability and still stay on disability? I wish I could work, but it would have to be a very specific job with a very understanding employer.

I believe the current rate is $850 per month.
