How Much Time Does a H1 Transfer Take

Hi all,

This is my first thread on this forum.
I have a query and am sure that will get an appropriate answer in this forum.

My husband is working on H1. His has changed his company recently. Now his company has applied for his H1 transfer from company "A" to company "B".

Can someone tell me how much time usually this H1 transfer takes?

I am really worried as i am in India and he is in USA, if his transfer doesnt happen, then i wont be able to apply for H4 visa.

Probably two or three months. If he wishes to pay he fee, he can speed up the process by paying for premium processing.

Thanks for reverting soon.
His H1 fees are paid by his company, now i dont know how much till this procedure will take. Moreover, i have heard that companies now a days have to prove it that they need an Indian to do this job and they can't find a suitable american candidate to perform so.
Is this true?
Then in that case how much will it take to get the visa transferred?
