Employer Threatens Termination

my employer told me that i would no longer have a job if i don't come back to work by may 10 having surgery tuesday april 19 doctor says i will be out for six weeks can employer fire me for that

I strongly suggest that you consult with a workers' compensation lawyer in your jurisdiction, so as to preserve and protect your rights. At a minimum, you should have your surgeon communicate your disability and work restrictions to your employer (if you have not already done so.)
