Defending Failure to Inspect and Front License Plate Missing Ticket

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: newjersey.
Hi i just got 2 tickets by a police office one for failure of inspection and the 2nd one for front license plates missing. Is there anyway i can defend these tickets. Although court appearance is not required, any suggesstions whether or not i should seek a court date to reduce the fines.

Dear Mr./Miss-B-havin,

I haven't looked into the statutes with which you were charged... But if you failed to inspect you vehicle when it was time to do so AND you failed to properly display the front license plate on your car, what basis do you have for requesting the judge to reduce the fines?

If you post the code sections on your citation, we can look into them to see if there are any provisions that will reduce the fines if the violations are corrected prior to your court appearance. Other than that, one would expect that you would have to pay the fines associated with your violations.
