Default Court Action Over Defaulted Credit Card
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: florida My mother was served by a processor at her home. This was for me not her. Since I do not live there and have been out of work for over 3 years for various health reasons and have no money or assets. What are my options to deal with the lawyer group that bought my debt from the credit card company and trying to take me to court?

If you wish, you can contact them and try to negotiate a settlement or payment plan. If you tell them "I can't pay you anything," odds are they'll choose to try to get a judgment, and you can decide if you want to try to contest the validity of service or venue (depending on where you now live), or raise any other potential defenses.
