    Question For Sale by Owner

My question involves real estate located in the State of South Dakoka. The home owner rents their house through a property management company. If a new lease is underway and the homeowner decides to put the house for sale by owner, does that break the lease agreement with the current tenants? It is my understanding that until the sale is final and the house closes, the current lease would be upheld. Anyone know anything different?

Default Re: For Sale by Owner

Unless the lease states otherwise, the lease would survive the sale of the home and the new owners would have to honor it for its full term.
