    Default Civil Demand

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Massachussets

I got caught shoplifting at a local Walmart, and they're sending a civil service letter. Can anyone tell me the company and what the letter looks like from the outside? (is it conspicuous?)

Let me guess....you are worried someone (parents) will check the mail and find the letter? If that's the case, now is a good time to come clean.

Mine wasn't from WalMart, but it did have the company name and corporate office address on it.

Well I mean, it seems like a really small thing, and if the letter it made out to me (I'm over 18) then they would just give it to me and they wouldn't have to get involved, unless it says "Loss-Prevention" or anything all over it.

It will either be from the store's corporate office; or possibly from a legal office who represents the store. Since you're 18, it should be directly addressed to you.
