Trade in Payoff Short Fall

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: oregon i bought a new car with a trade in 12 days ago and they got a incorrect pay off amount for a different car i have financed thru the same bank. i live in oregon they want me to come back in the amount is a difference of 3880.0 any suggestions?

I would suggest going back in. This is a deal breaker if they relied on you or the bank for the amount when making the deal.

and you, for some reason, did not see a nearly $4000 difference in what they were giving you on the deal?
