Credit Card Co. Sue Me but They Can't Appear in Court
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: I live in Orlando, Florida about a month ago I was served with court documents that a credit card company is sueing me. I don't recognize this debt so I filed an answer using as my defense fraud and SOL.
the court schedule mediation for May 27 . but today I received a letter from the Attorney representing the credit card company asking the court to have a telphone hearing instead becuase they located in Jacksonville, FL and it is imposible for them to come to Orlando because it will implicate additional expenses that are prohibited.
Is there anyway I can Object to the telephone hearing , they should've of thought about that before suing becuase it looks to me that they were betting I was not going to dispute .
thanks,
