Thumbs down Can't Install a Septic System

My question involves real estate located in the State of: Indiana

My wife and I purchased a 1.12 acre lot in a residential subdivision. We financed it through a land company while we waited to sell a condo. We were going to build a home on it and the only drawback that existed was that it needed a mound septic. We researched and b/c of the location of the land and other factors we were fine with that and we knew it would be a good chunk of change. Needless to say, we have now been told by the septic engineers that the degree of slope is 8 and we must have 6 or less and they will not approve a mound. The land contract states that the land will take a mound now I'm told it can not. Can I get my friggin money back.

well, a mound would still be possible, if you filled the land to reduce the slope to less than 6 degrees.
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.

If you want to have your contract reviewed to see if you can get out of it, you'll need to run it past a real estate lawyer or similar professional who has the opportunity to read it.
