Child's Custody Preference in Ohio

I Was wondering if any one knows what age a child has to be to decide what parent they want to live with in Ohio. I Have a 12 Year old step son that lives with his mother in London Ohio and he is very unhappy he want to live with his dad in cincinnatti oh but the mother wont let him can he choose.?

An Ohio court will consider the preference of a minor child, if the child is of sufficient age and capacity to make a meaningful expression of preference. But that's just one of many factors considered by the court in making a custody decision. There's no absolute choice until the age of 18.
