It really depends on your area, the case loads, etc.

I think mine was 2 weeks to get the court date for Arraignment.

Having retained a lawyer really sped up the process. For example, the Arraignment date was April 29th. With getting a lawyer, everything was over with on the 27th.

i got a lawyer right away....i just cudn't deal with it by myself....my family is very understanding and supportive, but i really didnt want to tell them abt this....i just felt my parents wud be terribly ashamed and dissappointed in me...

i think the police have about 1 year to file a case---please correct me if i'm wrong on this...

i'll keep updating on what happens wid me......

What about a Public Defender? Are they pretty expedient like criminal defense lawyers or no?

not sure how this fits with the OP's thread but a PD is a criminal defense lawyer, at least when he is defending a criminal.

JK - Maximus is a mass spammer. He/she posted ridiculous answers on 19 of the threads on this forum. Some of the threads were older than me.

well, at least he could have posted some spam or something. At least his presence would make sense. This way he just sounds like an idiot.

I don't want to sound argumentative, but are the responders here bright and rude or something? =P

Mass spammer isn't exactly what I'd call him. The term troll does come to mind though.
