Default Can a guardian qualify for WIC?

My daughter has an infant son. I currently have guardianship. I will put him on my insurance. My daughter was recieving wic and I was wondering if she can continue to get Wic for the baby or do I need to apply separately?
    thank you for you input,

Normally if you are made the custodian of the child by a court's guardianship order, the birth parents would no longer have the right to claim public assistance associated with the child. You would be able to apply for assistance on the basis of your guardianship.

Be a bit careful, as if your daughter is accepting assistance she should not be receiving it may constitute welfare fraud. Also the WIC office may have a protocol to transfer a case as opposed to terminating one file and starting a new one, which might help ensure continuity of benefits.
