Default No Front Plate Fix It Ticket

I got a ticket in Calif by a city meter made.It was in a mall parking lot for no front plate. There is a sing when you first drive in that says law enforced with the code.
Is there a way that you can win these in court.

It is a fix it ticket. You show up to the police station show the officer the repair was made. The officer signs off the ticket and your done.

California Vehicle Code requires a license plate to be afixed to the front and rear of the vehicle.

If you do not have one mounted to the front bumper then I suggest you get one mounted there.

If you were assaulted in that parking lot would you expect the state of California to prosecute the person who assaulted you based on its Penal Code or do you think they will say "Hey, you were on private property, you're on your own"?

I have been in an accident when someone backed in to me at a gas station and I called the police and they said it was on private property we do not come out to private property to make a report.

I was hoping for help on the law, not for everyone to say you need to pay, I no that I most likely will not win.
And I will have to pay but I will wast there time doing it. but i was looking for ideas.

That by no means suggests that the laws of the State of California do not apply to private property. In fact, some police agencies will not come out to an accident scene if there were no injuries, so your example, again, does not mean that the laws do not apply, they still do.

And that is exactly what you got... bigcountrysg gave you a brief explanation on what to do to legally and lawfully get the correction made instead of having to pay the full fine. And I used an example to justify why and how the law applies on private property.

Nobody said anything about paying... Sorry if you misunderstood what was said... In fact you didn't ask if you should pay or not. You asked if you can win in court. And the answer, is just as clear as the fact that you cannot dispute, argue or justify the fact that you were in violation. If you choose to pay or not, that is and will always be your option.

I am not sure what you mean by that so I will leave it alone.

You have 2 options, either fix it or pay the fine. I would opt to fix it and get the ticket signed off.

I did get it fixed and signed off. but I was wanting to know any loop holes on beating it in court just to do it. I know it is about $10 for the fine, and $20 for the court. I look at it to be fun to win. I have taken other tickets to court won some and lost some.

It depends on the specific section for which you have been cited. But, most CVC sections with regards to license plates will be enforceable even in a mall parking lot. Sorry, no loophole.

It is actually $25 for the administrative fee to get the dismissal after you get the ticket signed off. Getting it signed off might cost you approximately $15 depending on the law enforcement agency that you go to (CHP charges $0).

If you choose to just pay the fine, it should be approximately $158
