Default Auto repo, what's next to do?
Hello everyone,

First posting into this forum, and hoping to get any help and/or advice to you..

Last night my car was repo when I wasn't on the property. I want to pay it off, but I can do it by March. What are the proper steps to recover the car and if my credit will be damaged by this repo after paying off?

Contact your lender and try to work things out.

Yes. You may be able to get your lender to agree to remove or not report certain information, though, as part of your resolution of the default and repossession.
