Angry Removing Father from Birth Certificate
The state of Florida:

I was wondering, my son is 4 months old and I haven't gotten the BC yet. Is there any way I could not get his father's name put on there? Even though he already signed for it. We are not together anymore and right now I am fighting to get Custody. I am only 17. I already have a lawyer and everything.

Help?!

No, if his name is on the birth certificate. There is nothing you can do to have it taken off.

You can't just take a father's name off the birth certificate because you all are not getting along. It doesn't work like that.

No, you cannot remove the father's name.

You and your ex will have to interact with each other for at least the next 18 yrs, so it will help you and your child alot if you get some counseling to learn how to deal with your anger and learn how to co-parent. The greatest gift you can give your child will be for you and ex to get along and both be active in your child's life.
