My question involves real estate located in the State of: Kentucky.
We moved into our house in KY in May 2006. We have mandatory HOA in our subdivision. We paid our pro-rated dues for 2006. In early 2008, we realized we hadn't paid for 2007. (We never received a bill or any notification from the management company that our dues were owed.) I called the mgmt company in early '08 to tell them we needed to pay for '07. They said they didn't show that our lot had a house on it yet (we built our house) and that they would update their records and send us a bill immediately. Well, they never did. So, now we have not paid our dues for '07 or '08 (or '09). I don't feel like I should have to call them and keep begging them to take my money. It's an inconvenience to me. If they ever do actually 'update their records', can we be held responsible to pay interest on what we haven't paid for the last 2 years?
