    Default backowed and over 18

    my husband is currently paying child support for 2 children he didnot know about until the oldest was 11. he took a paternity test and it showed they were his. He could not afford an attorney and when he went to court the judge told him he owed little over 70,000 back owed they based the amount off of what he makes now which is more than he ever made can they do that .it is in florida.now the first child turned 18 about a year ago and the second will in march and after all this 7 years after they started taking support from his check they sent a letter wanting him to provide insurance info on two children who basicly of age. he has not been allowed to have any contact with the children at all from the start could he give up his rights to get rid of the support. The back owed amount is to the state of florida it doesnt seem right that happened and we dont know what to do and are afraid of the answers could you please give us some help

    They only way he can give up his parental right, to avoid paying child support, is if the mother agrees to it,which probably won't happen.
    On a side note....
    How can he have 2 children, he didn't know about, if they are a year apart?
    I mean, I can see if it was twins or something, but when they are different ages??
    Did she hide for 9 months untill she gavew birth to the first child, then hide the kid everytime he came over? Untill it happenned again?
