Texas Child Support

My question involves child support in the State of: Texas, I never knew I had a child until she was 15 years old. A card on my door from the police, I had court order to take DNA test. Texas slammed me with back child support being retroactive now plus intrest.My question is,why, and how can Texas do this,and not take in any consideration about the father. Yes ,I did not agree with this,and have paid when I have had work. She is now 29 years of age,and married. You tell me what is wrong here. Mother was on AFDC, but yes I am responsible,the state of Texas as ruined my life with me and my wife . I was never married to this lady that had the the child. I am now a 53 year old man. How, dose the AGO get by with this. IT IS RUINNING PEOPLES LIVES AND FAMILIES. You do not wait this long to correct something like this. I can not see where this as done any go for good anyone,but the state of Texas. I have read enough about this,and it is all about the MONEY for the state of Texas,not about child support. Iam not stuipd. There is got be something the working and men,and women of this country can do to stop this kind action against the working,honest people that are respondsible. THANK YOU.
