Wedding in Spain
My daughter was married on an island that is part of Spain. The couple planned a civil ceremony in NJ this summer. Her fiance/husband who she has resided with for over one year met an untimely death before the civil ceremony. Is she considered to be his wife under NJ law?

As a general rule, if your marriage is legal in the country in which you held the wedding, your marriage is recognized in the US.
