My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: NC

i have a couple questions , i been diagnosed with 2 ruptured discs, 5 bulging disc.and 1 annular tear, im having leg weakness low back pain , neck pain , shoulder pain and limb weakness. does anyone know a ballpark figure as to settlement? my lawyer says 6-8 times my impairment rating etc..
i wont never be able to return to my job, as to i have been layed off permanently, what and where do i go from here?

i know many of people has worked through this , and looking for answers .

your attorney is the only one that can advise you simply because all injuries are different, consult him for the lawsuit amount.

if one w/c doc says u need surgery and w/c gets a second oppinion and that doc says , no need for sugery as to it wont help. is this considered a permanent disability? my neck inj, has a bulging disc below and a annular tear above. was his reason for saying surgery wont help. and w/c case mgr says pain management.. should i ask for a 3rd opinion? i am exp.... bad neck pain cant move it left to right w/o pain. and pain to my shoulders. any suggestions? curently waiting for EMG

If you don't trust the doctors who are diagnosing and treating you, consult another doctor who you trust.

annular tears are bad
The squishy disc material leaks out into the spinal canal & toxic neurochemicals irritate the nerve,OUCH

The IR is "after" you have reached MMI maximum medical inprovement & you are still in the treatment phase.



1)You can look into the newer safer less invasive surgeries.
Were they can remove that herniated material & seal off that leak so it prevents further damage

2) consult with pain mangt( for pain control & also steroid injections).

PS; I never trust "hired gun" doctors AKA WC doctors, as they may not have your best interest at heart.

Once you reach MMI & get an IR your attorney can then negotiate a proper settlement.
