Default Wrongful Reposession of a Vehicle
My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: Maryland!
Bay country consumer finance repossessed the vehicle twice, the first time i paid $710 to get it back and was informed that i only had to pay late charges from here on out as the contract had matured...i was doing so. They repossessed the vehcile a second time and informed me that the loan hadn't matured and was accruing charges, stated a second contract was being used to determine this, and they sent me a false letter statingh that the vehcile was being held at one locale when it was at another and another lie in the same letter stating that the vehicle was to be auctioned at one locale only to discover it was being auctioned at another after digging through the internet AND phone book. I am seeking a lawyer whom will help me take them to court, especially now that the Maryland DMV is saying i never had insurance on the vehicle and my tags are being used without insurance...I cancelled the tags and this is when this occurred. I am seeking penalties against Bay Country Conusmer Finance for lost time at work, repo fees and a judgement against them. Have conacted the BBB also.

The repo occurred because you didn't make payments, or because you had no insurance and no valid registration? Lenders typically require insurance, and typical car loan contracts make the failure to properly insure a vehicle a breach of contract justifying repossession.
