Position Eliminated Due to Budget Cuts

As stated above, my employer after 6 months on disability eliminated my position. In yesterdays newspaper my employer advertised to fill my position. Granted, they recently lost 3 other employees that do the same job I do. Should I contact a Labor Lawyer regarding this?

This is the job you aren't able to do because of your injury?

You're stating that they eliminated one of at least four identical positions, had three more people quit, and are replacing only one person?

Yes. Currently I am unable to do this job.

According to their letter to me my position was eliminated due to budget cuts. Since the letter two other employees gave notice and one resigned.

They lost a total of four people doing that job. They are advertising to fill ONE of them. You are unable to do the job at this time.

No, you need not hire a lawyer since no laws have been violated. There is no illegal discrimination here.

Particularly since, as I remember from previous posts, your disability is temporary and thus not covered by the ADA.
