Production of Documents for Inspection and Copying Notice

I am in a C7 bankruptcy adversary proceeding representing myself. I was just served a Production of documents for inspection and copying notice from the Plaintiff.

I know I need to respond, and provide documents for inspection and copying. In a separate letter they are telling me I need to make them copies. My understanding is that they have to make their own copies of whatever they want. How long can they keep my documents to make the copies? I don't trust them at all and I am not going to spend the money to make them copies. They are asking for a truck load of documents

If you don't trust them, make copies for them and give them copies. You could also schedule a time when they can make the copies under your supervision (or the supervision of somebody you designate), either at your location or theirs.

If you're in contested bankruptcy proceedings involving "a truck load of documents", it sounds like time to reconsider your choice to proceed without a lawyer.
