Default Worker Comp Claim
My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: illinois
been off work 5 years. cant return to normal job due to injuries, does state employer have to provide me with a job?
i dont want to work for a non goverment employer because of security and benifits. i made 60k when injured. have 25 working years left. also what kind of settlement can i be looking at if i dont return to work? work has no light duty. injury is permenet.

Default Re: Worker Comp Claim
It's exceptionally unlikely that your employer has to offer you anything after five years. Read your contract, your employer's policies, check with your union (if any)....

If you choose not to take a job, even though you are capable, you can't realistically expect any sort of settlement for future lost wages.
