Default When Does Workers Compensation Insurance Have to Settle
My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: mass am totally disable been on ss since 2006.Have a lawyler,used up my total disability.Now on partial disablity so i get that now.Plus i get Ltd,every month.Lost may leg in work due from work not fixing a hole in the floor,which they new,and new they needed to repair,fixed after may injury.was find $$$$ by massachusetts industrial board.got hurt in 2005.WAS in hospital for 3 weeks.Had to have steints put in upper leg and stomach,Also had a stroke at that time,and lost some use,of my arms.They had to put a patch in to hold everything in.THey are only good for 8 to 10 years,and doctors told me they can't fix .Dortors told me when my steints go I will have a stroke or mass heart attack.Have not settled with wc.MY lawyler sayed they are dragging their feet and hope I die before they have to settle.How long can,by law can they wait to settle?

Workers compensation doesn't have to settle, just as you don't have to accept a settlement offer.

I am soo sorry to hear about this, this is awful, You have been through way too much.

I think your attorney may have to threaten to file a civil action. enough...

And from what you have disclosed you would deserve big bucks & should never have to worry about at least money ever again.

Those BAs*ards!!!!!! they knew they created an unsafe area & let someone get hurt before they bothered to do anything!!!!!! You may even be entitled to punitive damages ,,,depends.... on laws on that state & WC

I think a jury would give you huge sympathy!!
I really hope you heal as best you can.
