Provisional License Points

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: new jersey

I go to school off of rt. 17, and like any other day I was at the end of a line of speeding cars. As everyone around me slammed on their breaks so did I, and yet I was pulled over and give two tickets and four pints (speeding and failure to wear a seatbelt). I was wearing my seatbelt and even if i was going as fast as i was told, I was keeping in line with traffic. Will i lose my license a month before I turn 18?

Keeping up with traffic never carries much of a defense. It's really a "peer pressure" type of defense..."my friends jumped off a bridge so I did". Take it from my husband who has been told time and again by law enforcement...." I chose you". In other words, he couldn't pull everyone over and chose you. The seatbelt violation is generally a "non moving" violation and shouldn't carry much in the way of points. Check w/ the NJ DMV to see if you have violated Junior Operator laws and face a mandatory suspension. If you do, you will serve the time even if you turn 18 during it.
