Red Light Violation (Vehicle Registered Under Dad)

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: AZ

About 2 weeks ago I ran a red light and just recently received the Ticket. During the incident, I was flashed but the vehicle is registered to my dad so the ticket was made out to him. One of the options it gives is to send in a copy of your drivers license if you were not the driver. It says "IF YOU WERE NOT THE DRIVER at the time of the violation, you may identify the driver in the space provided below."

Does my dad have to identify me or can he choose not to?

Is it likely that my dad wont have to pay the ticket?

If you were driving the ticket belongs on your driving record, not dad's. If he states he was driving, he is lying.......in other words, to answer your question:"choosing not to"=lying.

Of course your dad won't have to pay the ticket... he is not guilty. Your dad should send a copy of his drivers license showing he was not the driver and that's all. He is not legally obligated to provide them any other information than that.

Do a google search for "snitch ticket".
