Unhappy Ex Gave Permission to Sign Name, and Claims its Forgery
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Virginia

I have been divorced for 4 months and my ex and I are in the process of selling our properties. My husband's name is on a piece of land and he asked me to sign his name to put the land up forsale since he was traveling. I have no interest in this land will not profit in any way from the sale. Now he wants to charge me with fraud and forgery for signing his name. Can he do this and should I be worried?

What did you sign? Just a listing agreement with a real estate agent?

Have you discussed this with your divorce lawyer?

Yes and no, he listed the property forsale originally and what I signed was a short sale addendum. I also have email communications from the listing agent in reference to the short sale which he was copied on. He is saying he had no knowledge about the listing period. Which is not the truth. My lawyer said not to worry about it but my ex is threatening to have me arrested. He is frustrated by our divorce settlemet and is fighting to not pay alimony or child support. This is totally about punishing me since I recented got a 2 year protective order against him.
