Title and Insurance on Car in State with Vacation Home
My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: IL/MI
I have a vacation house in Michigan were the lease taxes and laws are much better than where my permanent residence is in Chicago. Can I lease a car in Michigan at my vacation house address as well as insure the car in Michigan using my MI address?

FWIW, I know alot of people do this with vacation houses in Fla

living right at the state line, we had seen this for some time but (and I could be wrong) I believe they changed the laws to require your car to be registered in the state you claim residence. The car has to be titled in your resident state and the car must be registered in the state it is titled in.
