Default How to Take Off a Father, and then Add One
My question involves paternity law for the State of: Ohio.
I was married at the time of my son's conception, even though the father was someone else. As per Ohio law, even though we were planning on divorcing I had to put my husband's name on the birth certificate instead of the bio father. After the birth, a paternity test was done so that the divorce could go through. Now, I don't know if that automatically takes off the father listed on the birth certificate, or if there's something I need to do to get that done. I already know I can go to my local health department to file to have the bio father added.

The divorce judgment doesn't automatically do anything in relation to the birth certificate. It needs to be properly filed with the Department of Vital Records before a birth record would be amended.
