    Question SIS/Felony with Non-Conviction

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Missouri

I made a mistake in 1997. I took a gun from an exboyfriend I felt was dangerous. It was returned to him via the sheriffs dept. I completed my probation and was released early. I've only made that one mistake..

the case was supposed to be closed and cleaned. The judge that handled the case is now deceased so I can't go back to that judge.

I did have a go back to Mo recently to appear in a court case to try to get this issue fixed as my civil rights have not been restored. I now live in PA and Mo people are trying to refer me back to PA for help.

the new judge I went up infront of was not very helpful. He suggested that I appeal to the govenor for a pardon.. that takes 18-24 months.. my job is also at risk. because the paperwork shows 1 felony and no convicitions. It's the felony listed that is causing the problem..

I tried to get a gun in PA and was denied over it also.

If you were charged in Missouri, any relief from the charge has to come through the Missouri courts. So what do you mean by "Mo people are trying to refer me back to PA for help"?

I'm being told that I have to go back to PA and explain that I was just charged and not convicted and that PA should except that. However when looking at the report it shows 1 felony no conviction.

How can there be a felony if there was no conviction? What is making matters worse at this moment is I thought this issue was resolved years ago. As I mentioned previously, I tried to get a hand gun in PA and was denied. I then had to report this issue to my employer. I work in the health insurnace field and now it's up to the PA insurance commission if I get to keep my job. With the way MO is putting it I have a felony on my record even though I was not convicted. This is putting my job at risk. I even wanted to go back to school for criminal justice and get a PI licence but I won't be able to. Some say that I will never be able to own a gun again.
