Default How Did A Discrimination Case Go Straight To the Supreme Court
 Hi. all this is my first post. I am looking for an answer to a question about discrimination. This is from a U.S. Supreme court case in 1950, that Thurgood Marshall argued. On the site I asked the admnistrator to put a civil rights area for posts. The question is in 1950 Thurgood Marshall argued a case about Graduate School racial discrimination in Graduate Studies. This case became a landmark decision. It was McLaurin v. Oklahoma State Regents, 339 U.S. 637. Question is; How did he get this case to go from the U.S. District Courts to goto The U.S. Supreme Court, straight without going to U.S. Court of Appeals. If someone knows please let me know. I need to know ASAP. Thanks :?:

Under a now obsolete provision that allowed appeals directly to the Supreme Court from a District Court three judge panel decision on the question of the constitutionality of a state law.
