Default My Ex Left Belongings at My Apartment and is Taking Forever to Pick Them Up

My question involves personal property located in the State of: Indiana

Three weeks ago I kicked out my ex-girlfriend from my apartment. Apparently, she had been cheating on me, had stolen quite a few items of mine and pawned them, and was doing heavy drugs. I am already working on the civil suit against her for the items she stole.

She did leave a lot of her own belongings, though. She came by and picked up some clothes a few days later, but has yet to come back for anything else (even though she says she will every two or three days). Her mother came by and reclaimed some items (some that were apparently stolen from her as well), but did not take everything. The girl never paid rent and is not on the lease.

How long do I need to accommodate her? Again, it has been three weeks since she has lived there. Ideally, I would enjoy selling it all to reclaim some of the money that was stolen from me, but I do not want to break any laws. What are my best courses of action?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The prosecutor's office cannot legally advise me in this situation (according to them), and I really would just like to be done with all of this and move on (and reclaim some money).

How much stuff are we talking about? If it's not a whole lot, consider boxing it up and asking if you can drop it off at her mom's house.

Do you have an address where you could send her a letter, preferably certified?

And, regardless of whether she was on the lease or not, if she had established residency there, she could bring a law suit against you for unlawful eviction (ie "kicking her out") - even if she was lying, stealing, drugging, or cheating.

    So tread carefully.

It was not a whole lot of stuff, but thankfully, she finally came by last night to retrieve it all. In the process, she took food, saying, "You ate the food that I bought, so I'm taking this." As much as I wanted to push her down my stairwell, I resisted and am happy to be done with her for good. ...Or at least until the civil suit starts and she repays me $2500. Thanks for your replies.
