Unhappy Domestic Assault - Need to Change 'No Contact' Condition
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ontario, Canada

Two days ago i was arrested and charged with mischief ( in my own home) and assault on my husband. what happened was i called 911 for paramedics after we had a small physical fight and they sent the police instead. afterwards, they arrested me, charged me, and i was detained at the station. After 5 hours, i was released on the condition that i could not go home or contact my husband.

My husband and I are not angry with each other, we had a misunderstanding which lead up to this. we need to communcate with each other daily and living away from home is driving me nuts! and expesnsive! can anyone advice me on how to change the 'no contact' condition on my bail so that we can continue to communcate with one another? my husband has already called the police in charge and they said that they can't do much. He will be contacting the crown attonrey too but i am afraid that they will ignore him. My first appearance is at the end of april and I would like to get the conditions changed before then, basically as soon as possible.

PLEASE ADVICE!! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!

Laws in Canada are different from those in the US.

This is a US based legal information forum, so you're unlikely to find answers here. You might try here, instead.

In the US, once you get the police involved in a domestic violence situation, the state takes it from there and proceeds regardless of what either of the involved parties wants.
