    Default Bigamy and Annulment

My question involves divorce in the State of: California

Not sure if this in the right forum, but myy wife filed for divorce in October of 2007, and the divorce is still not yet finalized as of today (3-18-2009). I recently found out through a mutual friend that she (soon ex-wife) got re-married in Las Vegas in December of 2008.

What legal course of action can I take now since I have moved out of the state of California? I do understand that bigamy is a punishible crime, and most of all would a quailfy for an annulment? Is there anyway possible if I do qualify for an annulment to get back the alimony and possibly child support already paid to date?

    Anyhelp you be absolutley greatful.

    Ken

It may or may not help in your divorce of your wife.

It will not change your responsibility to your children.

Ok so if I understand correctly it would not affect the child support and that is fine. But what about the fact that she got re-married without the divorce being finalized? Is there anything that I could possibly do?

Yes...Bump. You posted the same question under two separate threads. If you don't like the answers you're given, then consult an attorney as I posted today on your other thread.

If you're looking for financial gain for her actions (lawsuit, etc), it's not going to happen.

    Default Bigamy Case

I am currently residing in Savannah, GA, and am currently in the process of getting a divorce in Kern County, California. It was brought to my attention that my soon ex-wife has gotten re-married in Las Vegas, Nevada on the date of December 12th 2008. I contacted the Kern County Mojave District Clerk to verify my current case status and as of today April 4th 2009 my divorce is not yet final and is still "PENDING".

It is to my understanding that bigamy is illegal in most states and has various repercussions. I need to know what course of action I need to take because my son is living with her, and this "NEW" husband has restraining orders against him. This raises a big red flag to me and needs to get fixed for the well being most of all for my son who is potentially in a bad situation.

I have my divorce case history, and the Clark County records showing the date of marriage. All of the information is from the Kern and Clark county records websites. Any help to resolve this matter would be greatly appreciated especialy if I have a case.
