Angry Signed a C&R Settlement Agreement
My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: California

I signed an settlement agreement which wasn't much, but being disgusted and frustrated after 3 years of a bunch of bs i signed and settled for nothing. Just ending the case, I signed about 2 months ago and i am still getting the run around from my attorney obviously i hired and got the wrong attorney but does anyone no what happens after you sign the settlement agreement how long before you see your settlement award? the attorney says he is waiting for a signature from the ins adjuster to be faxed to him.

Once the release is signed and returned, typically the check is cut within about thirty days. It may take less time; it may take longer. Unfortunately we're not able to investigate your lawyer's claims.

It sounds like the C&R is still pending the Defense attorney's signature. Once all parties have signed the agreement. It is then taken down to the WCAB for the judges approval and signature. Then you should receive your check with-in 30 days of the Judges "Order Approving the C&R".
