    Default Petitioning for child support

I am finally in the process of setting up child support for my son.

My boyfriend and I seperated 4 years ago. At that time we did start the court process and due to my own financial reasons I could no longer retain a lawyer in which case that matter had been lost.My ex would not provide his financial information Having the case continued time and time again.

My question is can I ask for past support. If an amount had not yet been determined 4 years ago? The only thing established was paternity and custody in which I have full custody and he has visitation as well as he provides health insurance.

I know I am in for a fight with him and I know I am entitled to support. He is under the impression he owes me nothing since we were never married. and it should be 50/50.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

    Default Petition for Child Support

If your petition for child support has never been dismissed, just repeatedly adjourned, or there has never been an order for child support, you may qualify for back support.

If you WITHDREW the petition, you probably won't get back support.
