Default Collecting Workman's Comp and Pension
My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: GA

I worked for twenty years.

Job injury, etcetera, forced me to receive workman's comp for another twenty years.

Doctors and meds have been denied again.

I never withdrew my pension investment. I am now 65 years old. Can I receive pension and workman's compensation? Thank you.

Yosemite

Your wage loss benefits should have been long expired, if you've been off work for 20 years. Collecting a pension shouldn't have any effect upon your right to medical treatment. If you believe your benefits were wrongfully terminated, I suggest that you consult a worker's comp lawyer.

Thank you, Mr. Knowitall. I was told that if I took a pension my employee health insurance would not go with me, as it has with other employees, and I would make less than the $155/wk workan's comp. Consequently I could not take a pension because I had to have health insurance and of course less money was not an option either.

I have recntly found out that with a retirement pension employees get 3/4 of their salary. If I had not been harrassed and abused to the point of injury and to date, as well, I could have finished my employment at full salary and pension. I have never reclaimed my pension contributions. Wouldn't I be entitled to a pension that I would be making if I had been able to work those additional years in a safe and reliable work situation. Thank you.
