Default Forged Check
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas.

Here is the story, please let me know if I might have a case!

My husband has a girlfriend that he gave a couple of checks to. They were used to pay his rent. One check was made out by him and signed by him. The other check, was made out by her and signed by her. She forged his name on the check. Of course, I'm pissed! I just want to know, if I contact the bank, if they will press charges against her. It is a joint account with both my husbands name and mine on the account. I would think that since she signed his name it would be consider fraud, and I can file a case against her.

Please let me know, ASAP about this.... Thanks!

She did this with his permission to pay his rent?

I assume she did it with his permission. But I think that since she is not on our joint account, that she is not authorized to do so. I don't think in a court of law that if he got up and said, he told her to do so it would stick.
