Default Getting a Father's Rights Taken Away
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Mo
Okay. I am currently 7 months pregnant. The father of my child has two other children by two other women. Before my child was concieved we were engaged to get married. After i got pregnant he wanted me to get an abortion so i left him. (this happened when i was six weeks pregnant) After i left he has made no contact untill now. He said that he would like to have rights pending a dna test. I dont want him to have anything to do with my child considering he doesnt have much to do with the other. And i dont want his money. How would i go about getting his rights taken away or how can i trick him into doing so.

He has no legally enforceable rights (or obligations) unless and until they are established by acknowledgment of paternity or a court order. If he wishes to establish his rights, that will happen.

Please don't use trickery, it can lead to more problems. Get a consultation from an attorney. Sounds like he didn't want the child anyway, so let him do all the work to be involved. Do not let him sign AOP at hospital. He has no rights at this time. Good luck with your pregnancy. Stay healthy emotionally for your child.
