My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: CA
I recently received a ticket for violating section 22405 (I was apparently going 85 on a bridge where the limit was 55). On my ticket, the officer has made two mistakes. The first is an incorrect driver's license number (missing a digit). The second is an incorrect registered owner. The office checked the box that reads "Same as Driver", but the vehicle is registered to my father. Is this enough to get the ticket dismissed?
Furthermore, I have been notified that I am not eligible for traffic school because I was going more than 25 mph over the speed limit. If I decide to contest my ticket, can I also make the case that the speed limit on the bridge was too low, and thereby request the ability to attend traffic school to keep the point off my license? Is it unwise to make the case for this while simultaneously trying to get the ticket dismissed?
