My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Arizona.
I got a ticket in AZ, i am from CA. I was going 92 on a 75. I just realized this is a misdemeanorI am close to finishing my degree and trying to get a job in the law enforcement sector. Would it be possible to show up for court and beg for mercy, to reduce my ticket to a simple civil violation???
I got a letter in the mail with paper to waive my rights to an attorney and to plead guilty and to pay the fine. Would I have to go to court still even if I pay the money they ask me? they have a court date set up for me. I don't mind paying the money, I just don't want the judge to throw me in jail when he has me in front of him pleading for some slack, oh and can I go by myself without the defense attorney (since i get one any way). I'm just afraid the judge might get mad at me for using the resources (the defense lawyer) and make me pay extra.
