Illegal Left Turn Los Angeles California

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

i was given a ticket for making a left-hand turn at 4:15 pm where signs prohibit this from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

my problem is i was in an area that i was unfamiliar with and i was in an apparent turning lane since every car before me turned left and so did i. as i finished the turn a police officer was standing in the middle of the street directing people to pull over.

do i have a case to fight? i was simply following the flow of traffic in an area i have not driven in before

Congratulations!! You have been chosen as a front runner participant in the California quest to rape its own citizens in order to avoid bankruptcy. I'm sure your ticket/contribution will cost you $200 - $300.... maybe more. So will all the other drivers pulled over for the same thing. I'm sure that we'll be told soon how the money for these tickets won't benefit the state at all.... that money just vanishes into thin air.

Whether you have a defense or not will depend on what specific section you were cited for (please provide the numbers) and whether the sign or signs indicating the prohibited turn were properly posted and visible. You will need to take copious photos of the area if you can find some evidence to show that the signs were improper or obstructed.

and there were signs posted but i was unaware of them and i didnt think there was an issue with turning since i saw everyone else doing so
