Default Credit Card Abuse
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas, Someone very close to me used to work for a big retail store, while working there sometimes people would leave their credit cards there. Well this person used, I think a few of those cards and charged them with food, gas, and a few other things. When this person was caught they let him go, was not arrested at that time. When the retail store found out about it and confronted the emplyee almost everything that was purchased was returned. Well now a year later, the person was arrested, we had no idea that there was even a warrant out for an arrest. Like I had said earlier, this person had never in his life done anything wrong, so when he was arrested he was charged with 2 counts of credit card abuse, a $5,000 fine and was in jail for about 20 hours till we posted bail. What I really want to find out is, If this is the first time that anything like this ever happened to this person, no arrest before, no convictions of any kind, a good person with a great big heart. I guess it was all a BIG AND BAD mistake at that time. I need to know what can happened here. I am really worry about this, I just need some advice and being a first time offence of any kind what can possably happened here. May be some probation? This person was in the process of joining the military and making a better life for him self, and now all of that is on hold. What are the chances of the case being dismissed?

Default Re: Credit Card Abuse
He repeatedly committed fraud with other people's credit cards. That's serious stuff, carrying a possible sentence of incarceration. Big heart or no, he needs to consult a criminal defense lawyer.
